The British Newspaper Collection on Findmypast has grown by a further 2.3 million articles over the past month. The latest updates include 12 brand new titles as well as the addition of more articles to 31 existing publications.
Our newest newspapers come from towns all over the UK including titles from England, Scotland and Wales. We've also added the Illustrated Weekly News from 1861-1869 giving you a graphic insight into Victorian Britain before the widespread use of photography.
Of the updated titles in our collection, a substantial amount of articles were added to Sheffield Independent (288,263), Portsmouth Evening News (259,469) and Lincolnshire Standard and Boston Guardian (219,315). With 28 other titles also supplemented, be sure to check if your ancestor's local paper is one of them.
