Where were your family 100 years ago? Join us this Bank Holiday Easter Monday, 6 April in the General Post Office on Dublin's O'Connell Street and find out.
Findmypast's team of expert family historians are delighted to be part of Road To The Rising, a unique event from RTE, An Post and Dublin City Council that re-imagines what Dublin was like a century ago through talks, exhibitions and tours.
This free event will run from 11am to 6pm on the capital's main thoroughfare and promises something for all the family. Highlights will include an open-front tram, vintage carousel and oversized gramophone for truly capturing the essence of early 1900s Dublin.
Findmypast will be based in the GPO along with Eneclann, Timeline Research and The National Library of Ireland all day to help you trace your ancestors and discover what their lives were like the year before the 1916 Rising. You'll be able to explore all of our records for free on Findmypast and there'll be some exciting giveaways too.
Join us and thousands of others for this exciting event this Easter Monday in the heart of Ireland's capital city and step into history!
